Falkirk Phoenix Boxing Club
Falkirk Phoenix Boxing Club, Nailer Road, Camelon, Falkirk FK1 4DA

About the club

FPBC is run by UNPAID VOLUNTEERS (but experts nonetheless)! We are a NOT FOR PROFIT organisation, so ANY money raised is invested in the club to repair and purchase equipment and to provide various opportunities (NOT JUST BOXING) for our members. We are affiliated to the national governing body for boxing, Boxing Scotland.

The club’s aim and ethos is simple: Provide the people of Falkirk area, particularly young people; from all walks of life; all ages, all sizes, all shapes, all backgrounds, any ethnicity, as well as people who identify as LGBT+, with the opportunity to improve their lives through participating in the sport of amateur boxing.

All of the coaching team are experienced former boxers - two are still active. They have over 140 years boxing experience between them, have won 14 national titles between them and 3 of them have competed at international level for Scotland. Two of the team have travelled the world to compete at the likes of the Commonwealth Games and World Championships! All of the coaches are qualified Boxing Scotland coaches and one is an IBA starred referee and judge. All of the team have PVG clearance and are child protection trained. One is an Advanced Life Support Instructor, one is a registered nurse, one runs their own business, one is a social care worker, one is a manager at their place of work, one is an engineer, and one is a University Lecturer. They ALL give up their time to run the club and coach FOR FREE!
